Some one-off thoughts from this twisted little brain of mine…

I made a music parody blog, a la The Onion. It’s called Rake (like Pitchfork, get it?)

A 30s commercial idea for Kindle

1

A large branch soars across the screen, chased by a happy-go-lucky elephant.

2

After a day of doing doglike things (burying a gigantic bone, covering an entire wall in pee, etc.), the elephant returns home with its owner.

3

Punchline.

I like making movies. Here are some advertising and non-advertising ones I’ve made.

The Pits

A short doc about the Christie Pits Riot I made while studying film at TMU.

I really love this case study for some random soft drink that my buddy Annie and I made in one day at ad school

This is Jodie and my New Blood entry that didn’t win, but I like it too much to let it rot away in some random folder. The brief was to reinterpret detergent brand Persil’s message of “Dirt is good” for a Gen Z/Millennial audience.

A departure from our typically sardonic TOV, Jodie and I made this cute mood film at SCA. It was a live brief from Halfords, getting parents to teach their kids how to ride a bike.

And this is where it all started — The Montage to End All Montages. Created on an afternoon in 2006 by my cousin and me after getting back from a high holiday service at synagogue.
